CUMMING, GA (July 9, 2018) – Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation (Sawnee) announced today that it has recently enhanced and released its popular “Billing Alert” program. It was first introduced to Sawnee members in 2013, but has now been updated and improved to reflect current member needs.

“We are excited about this new version of what has become a very popular program,” states Blake House, Vice President of Member Services. “This service has become an important conservation tool for a number of our members; they depend on it to keep them aware of their energy usage throughout the billing period,” he adds.

Keeping up with daily energy usage is not a “top of mind” issue for most Sawnee members, but almost everybody still wants to keep their monthly energy bill as low as possible. This is where Sawnee’s Billing Alert program can help! It allows Sawnee members to enter any dollar amount they choose; and as their monthly power bill approaches that amount, they receive email alerts about how their estimated power bill is progressing towards the amount they entered. This service virtually eliminates any surprises when receiving a monthly power bill. The best way to conserve energy is to be involved and aware; and the Billing Alert program takes care of that.
