Sawnee EMC is Accepting Applications for Youth Scholarships and Washington Youth Tour program
(Cumming, November 20, 2017) – Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation (Sawnee EMC) is now accepting applications from high school seniors for the Sawnee Foundation Youth Scholarship program. This program is open to children of Sawnee EMC members. To learn more about the scholarship program and download the application, please visit us at: http://www.sawnee.com/roundup/scholarships. In the past, the scholarships have been $4,000 per student. Deadine to apply for the scholarships is Friday, January 12 at 5 pm.
Juniors and seniors can apply for the Washington Youth Tour. Applicants must be sixteen (16) years old by June 1, 2018 and be able to commit to the tour on June 7-14, 2018. Two (2) deserving students will participate in a week-long trip to Washington, D.C. While there, they will get the chance to see the U. S. Capitol, as well as other major monuments and museums in the area.
