Sawnee EMC Offers Customer Service Via Text Messaging

(Cumming, November 1, 2016) - Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation (Sawnee) announced today that it has deployed a “new” cutting edge service that will allow its members to seamlessly engage, via text messaging, with a Customer Service Representative at its headquarters in Cumming, Georgia.

This new offering complements Sawnee’s existing customer service communication channels such as online chat, email, and Sawnee’s online account management portal known as SmartHub. With text messaging added to the current means of member engagement, Sawnee members now have more tools than ever before to quickly and easily communicate with its staff to address their electric service needs.

Sawnee members can use their smart phone or tablet to text message the Call Center to obtain account information such as a billing due date, account balance, or report an outage, as well as many other actions.

The text messaging capability launched on November 1st and members can text to (678) 999-8124.
Sawnee’s staff is committed to providing safe and secure interactions on all communication platforms, and, as such, members are encouraged to have their account number, service address or other means of verifying an account available before beginning a text session.

Members who choose to utilize text messaging with Sawnee will be subject to standard messaging rates as per their provider.
