Sawnee EMC Making Online Bill Pay Much Easier
(Cumming, Georgia, March 6, 2015) - Each month, Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation (Sawnee EMC) sees an increase in the number of members who pay their electric bill online. Most of these members pay through the Cooperative’s website, but a growing number are finding it much easier to go online and set up their Sawnee payment directly from the website of their bank or credit union.
“We recently asked our members what is one thing that we could do to make your interactions with us easier” states Blake House, Sawnee’s Vice President of Member Services. “Many of the members said that they wanted their monthly Sawnee bill to be visible at their financial institution’s payment portal, so that they could see it, and pay it, when they are online paying the rest of their monthly bills”.
Based on this feedback, the staff of Sawnee has been working with Fiserv Corporation to make this possible. They are now pleased to report that as of March 6, 2015, all financial institutions who utilize Fiserv for their bill presentment, will be able to display Sawnee electric bills for any of their customers who wish to take advantage of this service.
“This is great news for the members who enjoy the ease of paying online through their financial intuitional; just to be able to see their Sawnee EMC bill already at their bank’s website without having to do any extra work” adds House. “When we hear of a particular service that our members want, we always take a look at it, and do our best to deliver if at all possible”.
Also, Sawnee EMC recently announced that as of January 1, 2015, they no longer charge a convenience fee for any online credit or debit card payments. In additional, Sawnee now accepts “e-check” through all of its online, over the telephone, and in-person payment locations.
So, next time you go on line and pay your bills through the portal that your bank or credit union look for Sawnee EMC as a vendor and set up to receive your Sawnee EMC invoice delivered directly to your payment portal.
