Dear Sawnee EMC Member,
We have all watched and listened to the Coronavirus Task Force briefings each day and read the information being published by the CDC about the virus and its potential effects on our families, our community, and our way of life. Now is the time to be resolved, and to encourage everyone around us to follow the suggested guidelines that are being issued by the experts, in order to protect ourselves and those we love.
To that end, effective March 19th, Sawnee EMC staff will be further limiting its daily work activities to include only those essential services that we feel are necessary. This means that we will continue responding to outages, maintaining our call center, and addressing various reliability issues. However, all other non-essential activities and services are being suspended, until further notice.
Our focus is to protect the safety and welfare of our staff, while at the same time providing you, our member, with reliable and dependable electric service.
We are in very unusual times, which require unusual measures be taken. My promise to you is that we will do everything within our power to keep the lights “on” as well as keep our staff and members safe during this unprecedented time.
