Sawnee Foundation Announces Board Member Retirement and New Appointment

(CUMMING, GA) - The Sawnee Electric Membership Foundation (Foundation) announced today   Mr. Ed Ledbetter, a founding member of the Sawnee Foundation Board, formally retired from his director position on December 4, 2020.  

As a founding member of the of the Foundation Board, Mr. Ledbetter was instrumental in the establishment of the Foundation.  He voluntarily served his local community as a Foundation Director for over 17 years.  Blake House, Vice President of Member Services states, “Ed Ledbetter has a passion for people; he loves his community, and he has always enjoyed helping those in need.  He has been a leader within the Foundation for a long time, and he will be missed.”   

With Mr. Ledbetter’s resignation, the Sawnee EMC Board of Directors, on January 21, 2021, appointed Mr. Adrian Flack to serve Mr. Ledbetter’s unexpired term.  Mr. Flack, a Forsyth County business owner, has previous experience serving his community locally through various organizations.  “We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Flack to his new role on the Sawnee Foundation’s Board and we extend our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Mr. Ledbetter for his dedication to service and helping those in need,” states Ms. Deborah Pelfrey, Chair of the Sawnee Foundation Board. 

Created in 2003, the Sawnee Electric Foundation is overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors who govern the various activities and charitable giving through Sawnee’s Operation Round Up Program.
